Savita has been trying to hold her own bottle. She's not very good at it yet. She can hold it for a couple of seconds at a time and then sends it flying across the room.

First Solids Experiment

We tried to feed Savita her first solids today.

Here's the stages:

Wonder: Oh, oh, what is Dad planning now?

Indecision: She hasn't quite figured out what hit her yet.

Betrayal: Mom, you are in on this?

Reaction: Dad, this stuff tastes aweful!

Can't blame her for her reaction, the stuff really does taste aweful. We fed her a couple of spoonfulls before we decided it was enough.

New Trick

Savita's latest trick.

As for her turning over. She turned over 11 times today before we got tired of turning her back.

Round 4

It's all over! Savita rolled over and used her 13 1/2 pound weight advantage to make Octopus tap out.

Round 3

Octopus is trying the sleeper hold on Savita. She's not impressed!

4 month update

Dr's visit yesterday: Savita is now 25 1/2 inches (64 cm) tall and weighs 14 pounds. She was given her shots and she took it like a trooper. So far she been her usual happy self.

Playdate

4 Months (tomorrow)

She'll be 4 months tomorrow! We have an appointment with the Dr. so we'll be able to tell y'all how tall she is and how much she weighs by tomorrow. My guess is 25 inches and 15 pounds.

Yesterday Savita had her first play date with a 3 1/2 month old friend. We both had to work so we dropped her off at a friend's place for a couple of hours. No problem.

Morgen is ze al weer 4 maanden! We hebben morgen ook gelijk een afspraak met de Dr., zodat we jullie kunnen vertellen hoe lang ze is en hoeveel ze weegt. Ik denk dat ze 25 inches is en 15 pond (jullie moeten zelf maar uitrekenen hoe zwaar en hoelang dat is. (Hoe Lang is een Vietnamees?)

Gisteren hebben we haar voor het eerst weg gebracht voor een paar uurtjes omdat we beiden moesten werken. Ging goed.

Caught!

Savita is catching on to the fact that we don't want her to suck her thumb, so now she's trying to hide it. Here she is trying to have a little taste thinking we wouldn't see it.

Savita heeft kennelijk door dat wij het liever niet hebben dat ze duimt, ze probeert het dus stiekem te doen. Hier dankt ze dat ze even haar duim kan proeven zonder dat wij daar erg in hebben.

We figured we'd put on her shoes and take a picture because she will grow out of them in a couple of days.

I can't believe how much she has grown in just under 4 months. When you look at the position of the head compared to the yellow and white print on the seat you get a pretty good idea of how much she's grown.

Het is moeilijk voor te stellen hoeveel ze is gegroeid in de laatste 4 maanden. Als je naar de positie van het hoofd kijkt in vergelijking met de geel met witte sticker op het zitje krijgt je een aardig idee van hoe snel ze gegroeid is.

Jan Update

Savita turned over yesterday for the first time and we both missed it. Today we've been keeping an eye on her and she of course decided that there was no need to turn today.

Aside for turning over, she is laughing a lot, she is trying to sit, and is trying to use her legs more.

Gisteren is Savita voor het eerst ongedraaid en we hebben het beiden gemist. Vandaag hebben we haar zoveel mogelijk in de gaten gehouden en natuurlijk vond Savita dat er vandaag geen reden tot omdraaien was.

Buiten het zich omdraaien, lacht ze veel, probeert ze te zitten, en gebruiktze haar benen veel meer.
